    Despite a first-set victory and a solid performance at the net defensively throughout, Lynn University’s volleyball team was unable to carry over the momentum from a big Friday night win as the Fighting Knights fell to Saint Leo University in Sunshine State Conference action on Saturday afternoon, 3-1. Lauren Odom posted 11 blocks, tying the school record for most blocks in a four-set match.

    Lynn University’s volleyball team capped off early-season nonconference play with a three-game sweep at the 11th Annual Shark Invitational at Nova Southeastern University this weekend. On Saturday, the Fighting Knights needed just three sets to take down Babson in the first match before defeating the Missouri S&T Miners in four sets during the nightcap. With the wins, the Blue and White are off to their second 6-1 start in three years.

Sonja Udovcic was tabbed the Offensive Player of the Week with Isadora Nicolai claiming Setter of the Week plaudits.

    Lynn University’s volleyball team opened up the 2018 season with a pair of matches at the ICI Center at Embry-Riddle’s Tournament on Friday. The Fighting Knights first took down Valdosta St. in the opener, 3-1, before falling to a tough Wayne St. (Neb.) squad in the nightcap, 3-0. Sonja Udovcic led the way on both sides of the ball in each match, including a solid double-double in the opening victory.
